I wish that there was an extra hour in the day. I suppose that means that hours are shorter?

Granted. He won the lottery and is retiring a millionaire. Some guy you hate got promoted and not you and now you have a worse boss than before.

I wish i had no lag.

Granted, you have no lag, but when tinkering with your computer, you discover that it ONLY appears that you have no lag, instead, what they didn't tell you is your head was operated on to make it look like the lag goes away... Because the grantor of the wish was cheap third world surgeons were used, and they forgot to cauterize a blood vessel... it slowly leaks into the ventricles of your brain and crushes your grey and white matter... your head really will explode, but it's nothing spectacular, and you don't get to see it. That is, if your skull isn't soft, where you wind up looking like this instead:
