Why we don't use DWP!!!

Here is a current list of how much weapons cost and what their projected cost is next week. Please note the following.

Deagle:
Current Price - $12,975
Projected Price - $23,368

AWP:
Current Price - $4,712
Projected Price - $4,703

Anyone see any issue with this?

Currently you can buy nearly 3 awp's for the price of one deagle. RIGHT NOW. Not projected, but currently on DWP servers. Projeced is nearly 5 awps per deagle, AND YOU CAN"T PHYSICALLY BUY A DEAGLE SINCE YOU HAVE A MAX OF $16,000!!!!!

P.S. The Algorythm that calculates these prices is perfect and not broken (dispite steam having to force the glock to a whole number greater than one when it dropped to $0.52 a week or so ago)

Ok, if I was to guess, the DWP takes these prices from all servers, yet not all servers are running DWP. So therefore, the price keeps rising because non-DWP servers are still buying deagles almost every round making the DWP price of it raise. This system should be set off of DWP only servers, that would better regulate prices on everything.

that's not true kodiak. it only takes prices from the servers that run dwp. that projected price of $23,368 is based on the demand of buying a desert eagle at frickin $12,975. i guess the desert eagle is the most important gun in the game =P. ya know... they even said the pistols demand was kept separate from the primary weapons' demands. maybe they should raise the money cap - we should all strike for more than $16,000 salary cap like in mlb!!! crazy, isn't it?

Ahh, then I am mistaken. Everything I read was stating all servers worldwide, they need to add a little (running DWP) message in there for me to get it! ;D

huh... i re-read the steam update on dwp... it didn't mention whether the servers that don't run dwp update to the main database or not. i could've sworn before it was implemented that i read somewhere that only the servers with the option turned on updated, but i could be wrong. can anyone confirm?

that was the dumbest idea so far.

Bunch of guys sitting thinking how can we make this game not fun so no one plays it anymore.

Lets make everything more expensive so everyone playes with a knife and runs around.

Should of shot the guy who came out with that idea.

Gather player purchase data. Each week, the total number of weapons purchased world-wide since the previous week's change is counted. The purchase data is gathered directly from game servers. Every 24 hours, game servers upload a file to Steam listing the quantities of all items purchased over the course of the previous day.

Each weak every server downloads the current DWP file, but if DWP is set to 0 (off), then you don't use the tweeked money system, but you still report your data to Steam. That is why the deagle is expensive. Every non-DWP server still uses it like candy, and it counts towards the global demand.
