hey guess what! the rule has changed! you are not admin! and its insane how much you argue with admin me others random people it is in the MOTD it has changed i banned you for 30 mins to think about the rule and that it has changed and saying mean things to people isnt nice and you should quit before you find yourself a bunch of enemies... a weekend or two ago i was allowed to play for 2 days i spent 2 entire maps argue-ing with you about the freaking rule ive had enough! its a 30 min ban and if i lose my admin over it so be it but you deserver it for being a pompous ass

I don't know what happened there, but that was not cool.

Some guy just joined the server under the name "GOODBYE" (I suspect by the above post it was church), banned specops, and left without saying a word.

thetime was 1:42:00AM CMT servertime. About 5 minutes ago.

Specops was inquiring about the AWP rule (how we recently changed it). He was getting a little upset/aggressive about it, but no where near out of line. "GOODBYE" just randomly logs in, bans him, and leaves again. That was a cheap ambush, and hardly fair.

I sincerely request that the logs get pulled on this one. I think this was way out of line.

Jayne plz dont do that there is way more to this than you know, this is not the first second third time he has heard the rule, he argues every time i had to spend an entire map fighting with him about it and it ruined the short amount of gameplay i have he was kicked that time... he had warnings he had his kick the next step was TEMP BAN not permanant calm urselves

oh and you dont have to pull the logs it was me hence the i may lose admin and taken care of and such im not trying to hide that fact

Guys, don't think too much about this. I can see how he would be pissed at me... I have been asking people about that for the past two or three days. Also, thanks for the explanation. I wasn't aware that the 'no awp on winning team' rule was difficult to enforce. Last time I played (A few weeks ago, maybe?) I saw a little mod that made people drop it and said "X has been caught with an awp! Poke him!" or some such quip. I'm cool with it, and blah blah blah I can't believe you are still reading this. Go play counter-strike, I'll join you around 8:30.

The rule has been under heated discussion. It originated because steam broke our enforcement mod, which meant we admins had to enforce the rule manually. This became tedious, and initiated a discussion on changing the AWP rule to be more logistically manageable.

It is still under discussion.

I don't mind (and even encourage) you helping to warn others about the rules. I can understand that you were warning people about the AWP rule without noticing it got changed. I would, however, leave the AWP rule enforcement to the admins from now on until we have hammered out a final solution.

You're a good player, and a good regular. You've been steady, reliable, well mannered and your effort to help notify other players about our rules is appreciated. Don't let anyone tell you different.

I wasn't paying attention when you got banned (which is why I want the logs pulled), but I have a hard time believing you did anything even close to warranting it.

Even if you did, proper procedure was not followed. You were not warned. You were not slapped. You were not kicked. You were ambushed with a ban out of nowhere by an admin who didn't want to show his name. I know I didn't miss anything because the other admins on at the time (fox and empty) were just as surprised as I was.

Let not get excited, angry, or irrational. This *will* get resolved.

that mod didnt work it didnt do dmg it didnt take money it just said who had awp and it didnt enforce anything i believe amy said it best "don't worry church, it doesn't do anything" lol

Sadly, this has been the case with every AWP enforcement mod we've tried. It seems that is the option everyone wants, but no-one can figure out how to employ.

I don't get why that happened, but regardless, now I have to think of a way to deal with this.

The rule changed cause steam was stupid. it just changed sunday and we were careful to update the rules/motd inform server admin, and and and take it out of the server adverts.

HOPEFULLY with a new plugin (thanks to nightowl for pointing it out) we'll be done with the issue, until steam breaks it again.

when i have very little time to play i dont like wasting it argueing like i said this isnt the first second or third time hes heard it he was warned and kicked before, next comes ban! pretty sure thats how it was plus i thought one of the little tickers involved RUDE behavior not being tolerated... when i hear that another admin had the same problem i did then he tries to pull it again i feel its completely warranted all these means is that i need to start recording dates or you can pull logs from the date of my first complaint which i had previously posted catch you all later
