well, voting is over (i went at 7am yesterday and still had to stand in a line), and the kansas governor went to the democrats =/
our state house is about 70-30 republican and the us house split 2 democrats and 2 republicans.
so, i'm glad the state house is mostly republican since the governor is a democrat now (a little check and balance is always good).
the results were kind of surprising to me (to a point) because i thought kansas was generally a republican state, which if you look at the state house, it is. however, the democrats won the governor race and the us house was a tie. *shrug* i dunno... stupid politics =P

Yeah we could talk about stupid politics all day. I'd prefer to talk about something more fun like spambots. Our govenor (the one who is being investigated for scandal) was re-elected... just goes to show how many morons are out there.

Not yet. No charges have been made, but they seem to be coming soon....
BTW- I was insulted by a fellow election judge... and ZOMG, it reminds me why I hate dealing with the stupidity of the public, and why a lot of people only have a function IQ that is about 3. So glad that is over.

Secksy? Hes not actually MY congressman but its all one big city, eh? My congressman is a scary-looking guy.
Which reminds me. The candidate came to our school (Magnet Public School) and there were intercom announcements that offered money for anyone willing to campaign for him. Theres no law against campagining near or in a public or government building? I thought that violated some law....
Good money too. If they guy wasnt a republican I would have done it. Something like 200 bucks for help putting up signs.

I voted for the first time w00t! Miniature bingo dobbers ftl!
I also heard my grandma make an awesome pun!
We were talking about how since the democrats have the majority, some major scandal is going to pop up and Bush will likely be impeached. She said, "That's ok. Cheney is a better shot anyway!" And it's true.

Huey: Hey, what is today? Riley: um... Thurdsday. Huey: hm. You think Dick Cheny shot anyone today?
Recieved Backlash. Followed by
Huey: You know, were not being fair the the Vice President. Riley: How? Huey: Well, he doesnt shoot someone every day.

Nose, there is no law around here against campagining on public grounds, there is a law around here that you can't campagin within a certian distance of a polling place... Heh... I'd take the 200 bucks for putting up signs... it's easy money...

BE careful about who has you putting up signs. Some of them may get you arrested. Around here there is selective enforcement of the laws of tresspass.
