All of this got me to wondering, what sex is God? Please do not quote any book in this thread. Use logic and metaphysics to prove your point.
If you do not know what metaphysics is go find out and then post. If you cannot post a logical argument do not post.
Logic people logic. Let the debate begin.
Note to admin: Please remove any and all posts to the archives that quote from any book, movie, etc. All arguments are to be self contained and original.

I think God is not a guy or a girl. The differences between a guy and a girl are (sad but true) between the legs. That would mean God could reproduce (or at least have intercourse), which would lead to demi-gods and complexity that would be unsurmountable

If God waved his hand and created the universe, then again to create the Earth, and yadda yadda to create everything. Why would God be any sex? Sure, humans are supposedly made in Gods image, but if you can simply make something like the universe, I'm fairly sure you can change your form at will. This means that God could take on any form wanted, human or otherwise, any sex. No where have I heard that God has reproduced, although God has a son, figure that one out. God doesn't need to reproduce as God supposedly created the entire human race, and all other plants and animals. Although God created all of these creatures, that is not reproduction. Reproduction insinuates the creation of another being like one's self, and since there is but one God, there cannot be reproduction. Jesus is not a God because he is not 'whole'. I mean whole as in, Godlike only. Jesus is God/Human, meaning a demigod at best.

some think that jesus was god on earth, not exactly his son but more of a reincarnation

Since no one else here seems to understand, metaphysics is the science of making what religion takes out of the holy ground and uses real world ideas to come up with answers.
TEx came close but not close enough.
Think syllogism and that sort of thing.
Stop using religious examples - those are quotes from religious books. If you cannot prove it without those ideas then they are not proofs of anything.
Try again.

Assuming you're asking the question "What sex is God?" then you have a belief in God (basically). Now since that has been established God is described as many things, a creator, an architect etc... etc... The ability to create seems to be synonomous with giving to the world. You create art, and give it to the world, or give it to your journel or whatever you do with it.
Giving in terms of male and female are pretty easy to explain. Male gives women recieves, not only anatomically but in traditional finance rolls in family. God is Male. Women will make the arguement of giving life to a baby and giving love and nurturing and blah blah blah, but none of those things are possible without a male first giving to her.

who says there is a god, who says the bible isnt a fiction writing that someone just made up, just because its old doesnt make it true. the way i look at it a religion is just something thats help people get through the day because if they dont then they think life is a pointless thing. it also gives them a sence of security that they think theres some kind of afterlife and an eternity of bliss if you obey some "laws" if you will. it just seems like to me that there are so many people wasting there life on religion when they should be trying to enjoy their life, as short as it is. people just look for the simplest answers to questions they have so they can have some satisfaction in there day to day lives. as far as im concerned i just want to enjoy my life and if there is some afterlife then ill deal with it when im dead.

[In the following post, God is reffered to as "he". its cause im lazy, too much so to change it. I personally do not belive in God, never have and doubtfully ever will. I only make these arguements for the sake of aruguing.] Urb.
To say that Man gives would not be considered accurate. The man gives woman his seed, but who gives life? Who briths child? Who shows compassion and actually gives the newborn life, air, food, things it needs to live?
Is God associated with any particular society? If you would say christian, then I would argue the woman gives. The woman gives the most, her time, her life, dedicating everything she has to raising the child. Sure the man brings home money, but in terms of giving the things a child needs the mother plays a major role [Female]
If its a Muslim God, then the woman Definitly plays a more major role, since the workplace is more limited and society is less forgiving. The woman almost raises the child alone. [Female]
Also, while were on the subject of God, maybe he/she was telling you something when he let Mary have a child without a man giving anything to her. Man doesnt GIVE his seed, woman Receives it. God, I assume, would not condone rape or forced intercourse, so the woman needs to agree to create.
If god was a Man, who did he give to? He did not give, he nutured. He cared for earth, humans, life, vegetation, wildlife. Of course, then he screwed it all up with a flood, but he gave again and nurtured more. Seems very womanly.
Also, he holds grudges in the Old Testament, so I think thats proof hes feminine.... *runs from mob*
