Once when it was raining I was in a grocery store where I knew the manager. I told him the roof was leaking into the meat section right over some expensive cuts of meat. When he got up to check it out - April Fool. After the laughter died down I could tell that he would get even with me some year in the future. So I never go into that store on April 1 again.

the WoW april fools jokes were HORRIBLE. it's like they weren't even trying.
well i had a few people convinced i had found my love, and I'd gone gay. but some people took it too far and now one person hates me.

I liked WoW's jokes... the Tin Foil Hat was great... as was the Heroes of Azeroth... Considering how dumb the average Blizzard Fan is they probably could have packaged and sold Heroes of Azeroth and had people buy it.

oh there was this one april fools gag where some clan leader said she was quitting but no one really minded because no1 likes her, anyway she ended up not quitting... what a mean joke (lol jk jk you know me)

The best April Fools joke award still goes to google.
On April 1, 2004, google announced that they were starting up a new webmail service (gmail) and providing a gig of storage space. At the time, that was practically unheard of.
You can imagine the reaction when this got posted on slashdot on April 1 amidst a plethora of April Fools posts. It was idly dismissed as another stupid joke.
This gag was classic. This is a day and age when people are so cynical to the April Fools custom that they immediately assume anything remotely unbelievable happening on this day is simply a joke. Google managed to fool the cynics with this one by actually presenting something unbelievable that ultimately turned out to be true.
Since then, every April Fools joke has paled in my eyes.
