Also, V for Vendetta kicks ass. I want to memorize the v-word spiel at the beginning...going to see Silent Hill this Friday...UltraViolet sucked balls...what else have I seen...Hostel? That sucked major ass...I'll post if I think of any more I've seen this year...

I never was into the games, I played second one, got about an hour into the game before deciding that I would need to exercise for 7 hours a day for my heart to be going so fast...
So yeah, I'm not a scary movie kind of person. I will inform you of what I think if I haven't had a massive heart attack or shat myself to death. Or if you get a complete review from me, that means it wasn't scary.
I saw Domino this year but it came out a while back...it sucked too... I also saw Black Hawk Down, if you haven't seen that, go rent it. Now. Wedding Crashers still makes me laugh.

I loved wedding crashers! I always say baba ganoush (no clue how to spell it) for no reason. I honestly think that Silent Hill looks like it could be a decent movie. However if it is a decent movie you know it's a gaurantee that we see 3 or 4 more lol Gotta love Hollywood and their evil plan to ruin all good movies.

I saw King Kong this year... Alright movie.. just moved too slow for my taste... Peter Jackson went for too much of a LOTR feel... Also saw Chicken Little, HIGHLY recommended.. Very funny... I need to see V yet, and I do want to see a few others, but... too busy working, going to school, doing homework, and playing CS to watch a lot of movies definately let me know the good one's so I don't waste time on the bad... And I know what you mean about Resident Evil's..... Alright movie if you disreguard the fact that it's based on the video games..... Otherwise, it's just another zombie movie... ~Chu

yeah resident evil the movies wouldve been fine if they weren't based on resident evil at all. thats pretty much what i said about the new war of the worlds movie. it wouldve been a fine sci-fi on its own, but i had a previous knowledge of the radio version (original version) and the original movie which were a lot better than the new one. the new one strayed so far from the plot of the movie it was attempting to recreate, not to mention bad acting, and extremely hokey things.

Ok - Silent Hill in review:
First, look at the name of the movie. Silent Hill. Kinda looks like the title "The Hills Have Eyes." Catch where I'm going?
Secondly, this movie was loud. I mean really f'ing loud. I mean it was so loud the theater I was in blew a speaker (yes, this really did happen).
Third, the plot is given to you so fast at the beginning that it's kinda hard to follow. And then the stuff that goes along with the plot is kinda hard to follow too. At one point, I was really confused why the little hellspawn thingies were turning into ashes. And then I was even more confused when the chick passed out and started convulsing. Mmm, little odd, but....
Fourth, you have to like fog. Lots of fog. If you take away the fog, you would have a completely different movie with "Hill" in the name (hmm...)
[Insert Number Here], the movie's scares are based on grotesqueities. And by grotesque, I mean some giant man with a triangularized head ripping the skin off of a woman and then throwing it all at a church. Yeah. Bit nasty...
[Another Number], I really liked....hmm....what did I like? Well, I liked...no wait that was someone in the theater...ehh...oh yeah. The part when the cop chick blows this bone-bag acid-spewing thingy to hell. And the triangle-head dude ain't got nothing on Cloud, sword-wise. I thought it was kinda cool that the roach things had faces...little weird too...The part where she takes on the nurse-nasties was awesome...I leaned over to TEX and started going "Red Light! Green Light! Red Light!" Ah, good times, good times...
Bring your ID if you're going to see this, they carded us and TEX barely skated by because he's 16 and his cousin is 21. Also, develop a taste for looking at fog. And burnt flesh. And gore. And burnt gore. And fog. Without spoiling the plot, I won't tell you how it ended, but I will say that I didn't like it. Too damn much fog. And yes, there is lots of fog. I think there are like 3 scenes total in which there is no fog. If you've played FEAR, the girl she chases around kinda looks like Alma...
In conclusion, I didn't really enjoy the movie too much since scary gore movies aren't really my cup of tea. Or movie choice. So, with that said, go see Scary Movie 4 instead.

*cough*
well i went to see ice age 2 >_>
*dramatization* "alright we just now go to Silent hill, easy man!" "oh shit thiers a guard lady..." "u boys dont look 18" 'well...erhm...u see the thing about that is.... RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! *ran*"
ended up seeing scary movie 4 twice and then saw bits and parts of ice age 2, silent hill, Lucky Number slevean... case ur wondering...yeah we did eventually hide and watch all of scary movie 4.
Scary movie was ok, i can say honosetly thier was no plot, it was just thier to bash like all the other ones.
Problem with it was it had its chuckles, but they kept reusing the same jokes.... by reusing... i mean remember brokeback mountain they kept making fun of? well they did it again later but diffrent people not same sitution... so many sex jokes that were the same.
>_> seriuosly it was fun the first time, i wouldnt really reccommend wasting 5 bucks to see this.

i liked silent hill better than that, but i do have to say, it was by no means a good movie. then again, the games never impressed me either.
there is lots of fog, but theres a reason for it so... and the begining did go very fast, but i actually liked that, since you didn't have a half hour of "story build up". there were a lot of little cliche things though, and they pulled that common horror movie mechanic that i HATE. and that's that after an extremely scary or horrific scene, they throw you into a very calm relaxed scene. its a mechanic as old as shakespere (seriously, he used it himself), and i hate it. they should leave you in suspense, it keeps you in it. not have something that has you going "omg omg omg omg" and then follow it up with the cop chick going "...what the hell was that? did you see that? wow... that was weird... wtf is going on here?" (in context, the way she said it was very funny...)
yes, theres a lot more gore in it than i thought there'd be, especially towards the end. wow. buckets of it. but then again, gore's been in lately with things like saw, saw II, hostel... all those other ones that i can't remember.
a movie that got me more though, which was very ungory was the new War of the Worlds. about half way thru i got really upset because it was just depressing at how many people were dieing. i mean, they probably had to kill off thousands upon thousands of people... ON SCREEN... though in the end, that was a horrible movie thanks to the girl, who i've never liked, except in man on fire.
...anyways... boondock saints for the win! which is playing in select theatres may 22 at 8pm for ONE NIGHT ONLY... and guess who has a theatre playing it nearby? OH BABY.

V for Vendetta - Awesome.
The Hills have Eyes (Can't remember if this was summer or not)- This can be summed up with "WTF."
Silent Hill - They mixed Silent Hill's history with Centralia, PA. Other than that, not so bad.
