ok, so...as i told some of you at acen and after and such...i am planning on building a fully working replica of clouds sword in FF7 AC. i am planning on doing a small scale version (about a foot long) first, then once i get that one done, doing a full scale version. i am now making a thread here to document my work in progress...^_^ and such since i started work on the small scale version today...=D it is however, a LONG way off...  i will be making all 6 pieces of the sword and working it so they link up like in the movie to make one freakin huge beast of a sword...the only difference being that i will be making mine out of wood, because 1. metal is VERY hard to work with, and 2. i dont have the money to drop on the metal and such for a full scale one... i found that online and am using it mainly as my guide (with a little modification to the designs) to build it...sooo...wish me luck PS. pictures soon of the small Work In Progress as soon as i stop being lazy |

this should be hard to do, im not sure how ur gunna get the last one, that probably is gunnabe hard as well as battle mode.

oh, im gonna do just the battle mode of the main sword...because that way it has a couple spots i can use to attack the other swords too...^_^

make it ouf of WAX, foo! then cover it in sand and cast it in steel. That doesnt sound hard at all. If it was metal i would easily drop a few dollars on it. send photos of your progress.

ok, first set o pictures time....its still very much so a work in progress, and im working on a small scale model for now, so i can get the dimentions set for the larger version...^_^ first is the wood VERY rough cut (like....boxes...heh)  then we have the rouch cut ones, cut as far as im gonna go, now to sand away...heh  oh, and i guess ill call the phone a scale reference...=P they are roughly 8 inches long...or so... and this is then sorta put together to kinda look like the linked version....erm, yeah  so...now for the hard part, sanding!! |

hmmm..> i'm no expert... but... I think you have the wrong schematics.... You have 4 swords that you're locking together. but if you cue up 1:20:24 in the movie, you can clearly see 6 different swords.... erm... aren't you missing a sword or two? Also might want to cue up 0:34:51. you can see all 6 swords (not clearly) in Fenrir.

lol, yes there are 6 swords...=P
the main one, the v shaped hollow blade, the....blade that connects to the back and the small side ones. there are 2 identicle copies of the last 2 that i mentioned (2 small, and 2...back connecting) to total 6 different blades...^_^
you forgot to think about the back side...=P
besides, if ya look at the pic again...there are 6 blades there (the 2 that look alike are stacked)
so there...=P
