I love my headset, it's so convenient.
I also suggest binding your voice key to somewhere convenient. I have mine bound to a spare mouse button.

I agree. headsets are much nicer. I recommend Sennheiser. I own the PC150 - although I think they discontinued those and the PC151 or 152 replaced them. There are other models that are better, however.
Sir's right on the money, too. I bind my voice to mouse3 (push down on the mouse wheel).

Headset is da bomb. With a headset the mic is always in the correct position for proper communications. With a mic I am always in the wrong place when I want to talk.
As I use the mouse wheel to quick change weapons I use a mouse 4 for voice. Having a mouse with six buttons is very nice. Until that mouse starts acting flaky.

Yeah, I've tried both before. I don't use it much anyway, but headset is definitely way better.

Headset. There really is no equivalent. The mic is always by your face no matter where you head is, so you can lean back a bit. Also, you hear much better with a headset over speakers. Sound is everything in CSS.
Also, usually headset mics cut out background noise if you're in loud surroundings.

Meh. I don't worry too much about brand. I have a nasty habit of dropping them on the floor and rolling over them with my computer chair when I try to pick them up.
Needless to say, I replace mine every few months. I like logitech cause they're cheap and good quality compared to what you pay for.
