Amy changed to the new codec (finally), at my request. If you're having trouble, try downloading and installing this. www.speex.org/ (downloads, windows binaries) I'm almost certain that something is still set up incorrectly. Unfortunately, I haven't seen the server config, so I can't even suggest what that might be. The server voice com is behaving much more erratically than on other servers. Hopefully if Amy gets a new server admin (maybe SiR?) then it will get sorted out. I was on the other day with Raccoon and a few others. The codec sounds MUCH better. Cheers, -Jayne

My problem is not new and began with a reinstall of windows more than a month ago. So I doubt that the codec is the problem. The mic does not work on any server.
Sony audio recorder works just fine. Do the mic test thing and it works fine. Go in game and no joy.

Is your cl_allowupload set to zero? I know it prevents you from uploading, say, your spray image to the server, but it might be messing with mic transmission. I dunno. I'll check my cvar list.

No, you want that set to 1 >_>;
Also, I looked it up, it has no bearing on vox transmission.
