well, i'm using my tax return money to build myself a new computer.
here's what i ordered:
Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.8GHz CPU (I plan on overclocking to 3GHz) Zalman NCPS9500 Heatsink/Fan (I was going to get the 9700, but I wanted a lighter heatsink since I want to take the computer to LAN parties and such) Asus P5B Deluxe Intel P965 Motherboard (Didn't want SLI cuz I didn't want to pay the money for 2 $600 video cards) G.Skill 2GB DDR2 PC26400 800MHz Ram (Low latency 4-4-3-5) eVGA GeForce 8800GTX Superclocked Video Card (Two of these SLI would not improve that much) Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS Sound Card (Wanted the front panel I/O) Enermax Liberty 500W Power Supply (Modular power supply with active PFC) Logitech Z-5300e 280W RMS 5.1 Speakers (Not that great, but good enough. I'll be using headphones most of the time)
Equipment already using and will continue to use in new system:
Antec P160 Case (Windowed with cold cathodes etc) WD Raptor 74GB Hard Drive (Very fast! SATA, 10k RPM, Love it) WD 250GB Hard Drive (Data drive, SATA) Sony DVD-ROM 16x Sony DVD+/-RW Dual Layer 16x
What do you think? I like it! =P

nice, I do believe thats the sound card dub is using... it was a PITA for him with the headphones we both have-- 5.1 surround sound headphones with a mic-- I really really like these headphones with my audigy zs. It keeps setting his to 4.1 channel sound with the headset. Its ok though, he bought splitters to hook his 5.1 surround speakers for tv/movie enjoyment.
you neglect to mention what keyboard mouse you're using. I'm curious, enlighten me!

hehe
Logitech G15 Keyboard (love it) Logitech Trackman Wheel (why oh why don't they upgrade this freakin trackball?! come on... the design is awesome. they just need to put the wheel that the new logitech mice have - the free rolling wheels and possibly put mouse4 and mouse5 buttons on it - but those aren't needed. i swear.... they haven't updated this trackball in at least 6 years)
