I don't know what it is, perhaps the windows update, perhaps a steam update, perhaps both, or perhaps i just like saying perhaps.
But steam.exe is now using up 99% of my hard drive.
Someone help.
For the love of CS.

...perhaps a computer restart?
or....are you talkin about it using up 99% of your CPU processing power? cause that sometimes happens...cause its freakin weird like that

i meant CPU... and it has been two days of sucking up CPU power, i would have to go into task manager to shut it down because it slowed down my computer to the point where clicking the close window button does nothing.
I really am at a loss... should i defragment or something? Is it just me?

Never opened up my computer to look at what the CPU is- my friend built it for me, and I don't want to dick it up.
Steam is not trying to do anything except take up room. It is succeeding with immaculate results.

Dump steam if it keeps this up. Download the whole thing again. It sounds like a corrupted program with a memory leak. Or - 1 Virus 2 Spyware 3 windows problem reload windows 4 Steam sucks
Sorry about the pessimism.

What happened after you dumped steam? Steam got angry and said "You'll never see another set of Bits like these!" and proceeded to firebomb agent's hard drive.
