If we ever disapear it is because our faithful DSL connection clammed up on us AGAIN. It used to quit every time it rained. Now it quit when it got hot. Next I suppose it will quit when it gets cold, or tired, or sleepy. Not the connection getting those things necessarily but any AT$T employee incolved in our end of the world.
Note: the misspelling of AT&T is intentional and mean.
Dang now I am doing footnotes as well.

I got DSL now, but the darn thing doesn't work with my router. Well... it works, but it won't let me sign on with it... So I have to unplug it, hook it up to my compy, sign on, then hook it back up to the router... such a pain

I hope that you did not install the crummy software that came from the IP. If you did then uninstall it. Go to the connection wizard and use that to make your connection.
Go to your router web page and make certain it is available. Next try going to the modem web page as listed on the bottom of the modem. If you can get there sign on to the internet using your ID and password. Once past that hurdle find out how to bridge the modem for a direct connection through the router to the internet. That should give you a stable connection. Lots of work but worth it. Google things or ask the dsl provider how to do it direct without the crummy software that they provide.

After days of problems with our DSL connection they sent out a lineman that knew his stuff. He found a bad jack in the NIC box. Dumb thing would not let us use the modem even when we went outside to hook it up. Talk about stupid problems.
The JACK was bad. Four DSL techs and three linemen to find one guy with enough brains to make it work again. Possibly twenty calls to tech support just to find one guy who can find a bad jack?

The reapair guy coming should be like Chirstmas, all fun a goodies for all. Instead one of them was the Grinch, he stole our fun and made fun of us.

The dsl line did a new trick yesterday, it worked but their end server was dead. Go figure.

my friend use DSL. and he got two computer...... when him and his brother try to join in same server it wont work....but with cable it works....[why DSL doesnt work]

Legend Camper is talkin about my problem when i try to join in to AC sometimes i can get in n so does my brother but when i'm playin late at night like around 3 n i try to go to other servers when no one is playin on AC we cannot join the server i think same thing happenned only once on AC.

If your using the same Steam Account name you cant play in 2 places.
If your using the same IP, one of you might have to be blinded for
"Ghosting on an IP adress with another player"
but it wears off when you are alive again.

well cnadian nose he got two diff steam ID.... when he play in ac then hes brother cant join in...when his brother is playing in ac then he cant join in but they can go to diff server and play... cable you dont have that problem....if you have two computer and join in same server it will let you join in......i know few friends that has a two diff computer and they use cable internet and they play css fine in same server..... THE PROBLEM IS THE DSL INTERNET

Amy and I play at the same time without a problem. IF the dsl is working. IF it is not working then neither of us can play. They are building a new remote terminal and I hope they get it going soon. That should end our problems, maybe, probably, hopefuly. DSL HELL.
