ok guys im at wits end. ive tried everything i can think of. ive even downloaded addaware on fudges recomendation. i cant figure this out. i would format my computer and jsut be done with that but i cant find my cs-s disks or my cd-key. anybody got any suggestions on how to fix this.

Hrmm ur ping as in ur game ping? well it really helps on where u live, connection and how many programs ur running in teh backround and what hardware ur playing with.

you don't need the disks or key. if you have your steam account login info (which i hope you do...), you can reformat, then just download steam. you know... www.steampowered.comthen just log in, and right click on cs:s and download it. then you get about an hour long download of all the updates... which in reality is the game... so... at least you can do it that way *shrug*

My ping was nasty for a while, but then I complained to Time-Wraner about it, who of course said it wasn't thier fault, but the very next day my ping dropped from 150 - 250 to under 40 on most servers. I just left the tech with "yeah, so what you are telling emis that I am paying for a service I can't use. Why am I staying with Time-Warner again?"

see i have everything closed in the background when i start playin. i even started closing zone alarm. which i used to be able to play with on but now not so much. i guess ill ust have to do the whole formating thing and pray that works.

he said steam not HL2, and its true u can DL steam and get an account from steampowered just cant play any games unless u have games registered on that account.
AND then you download the games through steam, and yes kami i know urs isnt working.

hey jackle........ when you play do not have any traffic on network when you're playing css. and if this does not work try to have all of your start up program on and play css...... it help you.. I dont know why... but try this man...
