Amy has just posted that new postings do not always show up in a timely manner for her. Have you had this problem with the forums also?
If this is a general problem it needs to be called to the hosting company for their attention.

I don't exactly see what points you can leverage on a FREE FORUMS host.

If you do not do as we ask then you will never get us to pay for any advanced things. That is we will never go ad free nor would we pay for any storage.
Always keep the customer happy, you do not kill the goose that may lay the golden egg. Those are the leverage points.

Eh. Is it possible to pay for the database to the forum? It would be better if the forums were hosted on ac-kin.com anyway. (Looks better and gives you more control).
I am actually willing to host it too. If whoever owns the domain (Chim?) transferred it to me, I'd just point it to my website (also hosting Typekast and Chaotic Dynamic).

Chim does not own the name, and I seriously doubt that Amy would allow you to host the forums.

phpBB is an awsome backend, which would make hosting our own very practical. There is certainly no shortage of hosting space within the clan (Chim, myself, SiR, etc), and there are even free dedicated phpBB hosting packages you can get. www.freeforums.org/ - for example. They will even let us use the domain. Maybe once I'm finally done my school year (next week) I'll look into something, if I get the time. Cheers, -Jayne

THE FORUMS ARE NOT UP FOR RELOCATION
Now that the message is out please make a note of it.
This was an inquiry of a single episode of a "[perceived problem"

phpBB is an awsome backend, which would make hosting our own very practical. phpBB2 was actually awful, but the phpBB3 beta is absolutely amazing. I run [TCD]'s forum on BB3. As a coder I also like the way they have set up the programming interface. The forums login on the TCD site is integrated into every page on the site, and the content management admin I coded.
