alright, so... yesterday (4/15), i was on the server with some people. map was aztec. i was CT.

drizzt was on, he was a T.

it ended up on the last round, i'd had a couple of bad rounds before, so i decide "what the hell, i hate it, but i'll go with an awp". i run thru double doors and camp across the map where i'd normally be scouting. as they run out the doors on their side, i pick them off no issue. one of them was drizzt.

he gets pissed, and starts slapping me relentlously. i manage to get back thru the double doors, and tell him to stop. he doesn't, so i open up admin window, and kick him. round ends right after he gets back, and i leave the game, slightly pissed off becasue... well, that's just not cool. i can't tell you how many times i've watned to slap or slay someone just cause i get angry that they kill me.


well, today (4/16), we're on italy. i'm doing good (something like 31/7), and drizzt is just being a general asshole to me. i ask him what his problem is (well, actually i think i told him to stfu first, ok, maybe not the best thing i could have done... whatever), and he says he's angry about me kicking him the night before. i told him i kicked him cause he wouldnt' stop slapping me. he said it was cause i was awping on winning team (honestly, i dont' know if i was or not, i'd died the round before, dont' remember if we'd won or lost though). i told him i was about to report him last night for doing that, but decided against it, since it seemed like sort of a bitch move on my part... and then he said somethign about how i always complain about awping on the winning team.

now... THAT pissed me off. i personally do not believe in that "rule", and i CERTAINLY dont' ever complain about it (unless its out of hand... say like, 3 CT's on dust awping... k, that's a bit unfair, no matter how good the t's are). i tell him what i just wrote here, and he shuts up. couple more rounds go by, then my game crashes... so, i couldnt' screen shot anything.

i have never had anything wrong with drizzt until today. this is VERY upsetting though, and it definitely goes under admin abuse, since... well... i felt abused. i dont' know what should be done, i just wanted to let you guys know about this, just in case his bad attitude towards me continues. i want some sort of record, ya know?

I personally believe that the awp rules are law. If someone was awping on the winning team then I too would be whole heartedly pissed. You may not find the rule important, but Drizzt does. So you have to respect what he thinks, and if you disagree then settle it via what moe said.

i put this in the abusive admin section for a reason. this has nothing to do with me being AC (except maybe the fact that i could kick him). regardless, my complaint is that he lost his temper and decided to slap me constantly, which is definitely not a cool thing to do.

i should also mention that while i was being slapped, the bomb was planted at the other site, so i was immobilized while the bomb was ticking. i felt abused, and i feel like something shoudl be done about this. again, this is nothing about me being in the clan, if i wasn't in the clan and this happened i'd be doing the same thing.

if this was something between just him and me i'd have no problem taking it to private tells, but this was straight out admin abuse, not some little annoyance. i want him to know that what he did was wrong, and he's not going to get that hearing it from me.

ok, yes i see where your coming from schweps, however, i also see where drizz is coming from...

i personally follow the AWP rule all the time, because i do consider it a game balancer in unbalanced team situations...sooo yeah

but, i do always give the player a warning about it, something along the lines of "awp on the winning team is not cool, drop it next round or...bad things"

and if they dont, then i start to do things, soo, if drizz didnt warn ya, then i would put some fault on him, but since you KNEW of the rule and did it anyways, i put a lil blame on you too...as far as how it lays out...i dunno, but you cant say its completly not your fault for the thing...

now, first id like to say the rule is dumb, we voted and it failed yet we still implement it regardless to the vote

for this arguement to be seattled we need to COMPLETELY as a clan come together and say "no more awps on winning team" or vise versa.

as for a short term agreement, i wish Drizzt was here to say his view on the subject.

Schweppes, yes you know thiers a ideal people may or may not follow, and i know where ur coming from when u say u dont follow it. I dont follow it, but yeah, respect it for what it is. and i think its good u already knew the way u handled it was probably not too great. but its a small fight, it can be fixed.

That said i would like to make a comment on two things.

First, You never told me to stop. If you had i would have tho that cant be proven. second under this topic i waited until there was noone around you to start. i always do that when i slap people the other members of my team were at the completely opposite bombsite and you were not moving. as soon as the bomb was planted i was kicked so i was never given a chance to stop there. Either way your team still won.

Second, On italy i never typed a single thing to you until you typed after i killed u finally once "Wtf was that" and then i typed "me killing you" and you took that way overboard.

Here's wut i propose about the awp we get the plugin that removes or restricts it from the team that's winning by a certain number of rounds or there's one that gives the loseing team cash if they are getting decemated. that way there is no confusion on who should be using it. It is not an unbalenced weapon. it is the maps that cause it to be unbalenced such maps are, aztec, dust 1, assault, italy. that's my proposition and i've seen it work on other servers.

and schweppes i'll b the big person and apologize. Lets put this behind us.

on italy i wasn't saying "wtf was that" because you killed me. it was the way it happened. we were basically running around each other shooting at random. it was just a very strange fire fight.

Drizz you did the same thing to me too if you remember. I ran a map vote to decide on a different nextmap and it passed. But you got got angry since you liked the next map that was supposed to come and started slapping me. And i don't remember you waiting for me to be alone. I was in a middle of a firefight and you still wouldn't stop slapping me. Honestly that pissed off and I never got an apology. I changed the map back and left. I seriously think you should rethink how you behave as an admin or just be stripped of your priviledge.

I know it's not my place, but maybe AC should set some standards in certain areas. I know the awp thing is a big concern, and I do think that Kami is right, and there does need to be a concensus and rule made, and put in the motd. I also think that you might want to consider putting a map vote, to a vote. Or, to put up the vote option "Do you want a random map vote?" I know a lot of the time people just don't want to play the next map, and do want a map vote, although, I also think that it's not necessarily fair to only give one option. Granted, there doesn't need to be 8 options, but maybe setup some votes that only have 3 or 4 maps on them. Maybe choose some of the most popular maps. Office, Dust 1&2, italy, etc... This way the admin can narrow down the vote to a few they want to play, instead of 'Should Office be the next map?' because, if Pirinessi is the next map, and you hate it, you're going to say yes, even if you don't necessarily want to play office, more of a 'lesser of two evils' type thing. maybe also have admin's tell eachother 'stop messing around' in admin talk, if they are starting to get annoyed with thier cheeky shenanigans... but then, that's just my two cents...

There is never a good answer for to many admins. Except for restrictions on what functions they can use.

Set up a group for beginner admins that just give kick and chat functions. Pick a head of admins and let them do the deciding on who gets moved up the list and gets higher admin rights.

As far as the awp goes just write custom map configs that only allow one awp per team. And on maps where it is unbalanced just restrict it per map. Dust Aztec so on. Or allow or ban it completely. Personal I have never liked it because it is to easy.

Just think what would happen if i traded in my scout for an Awp.

As far as admin abuse I have been slapped once or twice after killing an admin but I know it was in good fun. Sometimes admins change maps without asking most make a real effort to try and get a map everyone can agree on.

I would suggest using a random map cycle that changes everyday or just weed out the maps no one likes.

Just my thoughts.
