Vertex could not lock in Error or somethin

when i'm playin source sometimes it freezes n the screen goes blank n if i was shootin at an enemy it keeps repeatin that noise over n over or if i'm walkin i keep hearin footsteps n den it shuts down n i get error sayin vertex or somethin failed to lock in.


got any suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get that. Dunno what yours is, But I pulled my computer out a bit so its vents arent closed in, and it worked like a charm.

Somthing like that happens to me when my connection acts up. The game freezes and the sounds repeat and then steam does strange things. So you may have a connection problem on top of everything else. Not much that I can say will do anything about it.

If you are getting game crashes and then you get an error message about the Vertex Buffer then you need to go verify that your game caches are good.
