dude, when has steam ever got something 100% correct the frist time, it's either 80% done right or 95% in some rare cases, but I could live with 80% most of the time.

Isn't their a way when ever someone comes to the server, you change their value from cl_minmodels 1 to 0 so that would solve peoples problems (not sure how that would work with custom skins) and even if their value is at 0 the server changes it anyways to 0 so no1 has a problem.
(someone should try this today cause I was going to test it out tonight, but I got a DnD session tonight/ and hanging out with friends.)

You know if they don't listen slap them, or kick them out so when they come back they listen, if not kick them out asap.

For the record,
rcon ma_cexec (name) cl_minmodels 0
With a name (no parenthesis) will do it to that person, without will do it for everyone in the server. Dunno if people still have this issue, but you should learn the ways of the cexec anyway... I love changing peoples names to "a cute little puppy".

they fixed it. there was an update about a week after the models came out that automatically changed it to 0, or at least fixed it so it didn't have to be set to 0. not entirely sure, just know that i read something about it in the updates section.
