Here is where you get to rant. My current rant-

Butchering our great language.

I consistently see people abbreviate words like 'you' and 'are'. Three letter words. That is a SIN. I can see the occasional 'OK' as simply 'k' if you are on the fly, but I cannot comprehend why someone would try to shorten a three letter word. R u sure? Yes. Yes I am.

Another peeve of mine, one I see on these very forums (*cough* church *cough*) is the post completely devoid of punctuation. And coupled with the aforementioned abbreviations, you have a completely new language. A fantastically terrible one. Yeah but language evolves and dont u no that? Erm. Sure I do. But this language hasn't taken a leap like that from Olde English to modern English. We don't have 'Super new English'.

That was my rant. Hopefully people can spread the word.

les see.. all ing words like writing.. will be minus tha g.. Examples: writin.. ridin.. hidin.. cussin.. ect. not ta hard..

ta=to.. yeesh... thas a hard one!!!!!!

Oh get over it, this has been in use for over 150 years. You just did not notice it because you never learned Morse Code. Telelgraphers have been doing this since they started using that crummy code.

Telegraphers couldn't type at 60 wpm and it costed a lot of money to transport messages with lots of letters.

You tell me the name of an ISP that charges you for each letter you type to someone online and I'll raise money for someone to blow the place up <_>.

OK so telegraphers only did about 40 - 60 wpm. They did this using typewriters. I know for a fact that 60 wpm is about as fast as a human can translate that stuff and write it out on a machine. I was never that fast but I have seen it done by many others. Then the teletype came along and whamo 100 wpm was here to stay.

Oh and I have known people that could listen to 60 baud teletype and understand it. They were amazing people. I could understand a little of repeated characters like ry and cq when transmitted but that is simple stuff. Now you get to say I am a simpleton and have a real reason to say it.

And since you have mentioned charges by the letter some one will eventually be billing us that way. Thanks for bringing the sword of Damocles upon us and our free ways.

But that was correct English as I was quoting a proper name from a comic strip. You do still read newspapers with comics in them dont you? YOu know the adult educational section?
