Once a thread is locked it is admin abuse for an admin to come in and place another comment. This is unfair as it allows the admin to make a final statement and NO one else gets to comment on that subject.
IF YOU HAVE TO COMMENT ABOUT A SUBJECT AFTER A THREAD IS LOCKED BY ANYONE THEN YOU MUST START ANOTHER THREAD.
This is the fair way to post a thought on a subject. Otherwise we are all just subject to one way comments.
Enough of this garbage!

Maybe people shouldn't lock threads that have an ongoing topic. As you well know threads tend to take on several conversations, or change topic completely. Considering there was a discussion on something somewhat un-related to the thread going on, the thread should have remained open to let the discussion pan out. No flame war was going on, none was even threatened. The topic changed gears and people were conversing.
IMO: The thread should not be locked, simply because the stated topic is resolved, especially if the thread has been taken in a new direction.

The point is:
IF a thread is locked it should remain that way! No admin should use their power to make another comment in that locked thread. If it is important enough to make a comment then idea deserves a new thread. Ortherwise the admin should remain silent. In this way we have equality of membership. Which was ONE of the original goals of this clan. That goal should be one we all should be striving for. Otherwise let the clan decide what they want, not one person.

You say 'equality of membership' yet a thread that was still a live discussion was locked. Doesn't sound equal to those whom were participating in the discussion. Starting a new thread would have confused people unless I copied the previous thread, or linked to it. Since there was no real good reason to lock the thread, there is no reason for the discussion to start a new topic. Personally I believe the thread was unjustly locked, and without provocation due to the nature of the conversation going on in the thread. Granted, the primary reason for the thread to exist was resolved, but that does not give an admin the right to end all other conversations going on in a thread, especially if the conversation is civilized as that one was.
Call me in the wrong all you want, but I believe Amy was out of line by locking that thread. She should've said that the problem was resolved and left the thread unlocked. The ONLY reason I did not unlock the thread before my post was because Amy locked it. This is Amy's clan, and for all purposes she is queen and can do whatever she wants. But that doesn't mean all of her decisions are the correct ones to make.

One you can't access. Don't know why it was brought up in the general section. Or why I wasn't PM'd.
