In a fantasy setting, where there are gnomes and dwarves. If a human has a child with dwarfism, does the father just think that the child is a mix from the girl and another race?

Despite that hideous buthering of the English language (That first sentence isn't even a sentence), I would say that the fantasy-world super laser sensors would tell whether or not it was a mixed breed. Also, if it is cross-species, it would be sterile (I think?).

Depends, especially if the mother is a gnome or dwarf.

Gnomes and Dwarves have no other distinguishing characteristics? Seems like the father can tell on other traits and stuff.

Oh just go get a DNA test done and that will settle it. OK so I am a hard science guy and not much on mysteries or fantasy stuff.

That is exactly what I said B8... except that instead of 'DNA test' I said 'super laser sensor'
It is a fantasy setting, after all.
