yea, only holidays I'm into is religious other than that I'm not into it. I respect the ideas off haveing 9/11 as a day of reflection, but their's so many events that has occured in our new world era that it's just too many to consider.

I will bet that most of you have to look at a calendar to remember what day Pearl Harbor day is.
That is the reason for the Rememberance Day. We were attacked for the fifth time. Bonus points for being able to name the date and or place attacked.

I'm farily sure it was 1941 because the NES game 1941 was an anti-aircraft game (air to air) built after the pearl harbor incident. at least, pearl harbor had something to do with it being made, even though the premise was quite different and the game was way off... it still had a throwback to it. Or was that 1942 the sequal... Gah! I don't remember!!

December 7, 1941. A day that will live in infamy. Pearl Harbor is indeed in Hawaii. I won't even ask you to name the island it's located on (but I bet B8 could/will).

1941? I coulda sworn is was December 7th, 1942!
And ive been to the D-Day museum a few times. Got a whole section of Pearl Harbor. Funky.
Government conspiracy no doubt, changing the year later to make themselves look good. *grumbles*

D-Day and pearl harbor were two different things... they didn't happen the same day. Maybe you're thinking D-Day was 1942 and Pearl Harbor was 1941. It's quite possible.

No, the D-Day museum has a section on Pearl Harbor. I was thinking of the Pearl Harbor date.
Andrew Higgins was an alcoholic angry drunk. Drunk Southern Eingineers FTW!

Lies, all Lies.
Intrestingly enough, the wikipedia article says nothing about his alcholism. Our teacher's close friend, who is dead now, used to know Higgins. Cool story to tell your children.

OK so you got one out of the five times we were attacked. What and when were the other four times? And who remembers the first Korean War? Not the second Korean War that took place in the 1950's. That first war has been written out of the history books!

Too vague gramps. Foreign attacks, killing whom? Civilians or Military. Terrorism count? What about Lynchings. Bombings. Burnings. I mean, you gotta narrow it down. Foreign attacks with the purpose of starting a war? Id go with at least one of them bieng the sinking of The Maine.
And maybe the sinking of the Lusitania by the Germans in WW1, but this wasnt on American soil, so to speak, like the Maine was (Yes, its a boat, but its still kind of American Soil). 100 and *cough* americans died ont he Lusitania.

Revolutionary War, War of 1812 - attack occured in 1813 - Washinton burned, Civil War - yes the south considered itself a foriegn nation, The Japanes fire bomb attack on the state of Washington - failed to do any damage but it did occur 1943 in retaliation for the Dolittle raid, and the first World Trade Center Bombing.
If you want to consider nutty scenarios that may come true then think about the implications from the above list but with modern weapons.
And I would not put it past the Brits to attack us again. They have done it twice.
