mie (microsoft internet explorer) is as good as they come. Firefox, and believe me some people swear by it, is just inferior. They claim to be better by "breaking the microsoft heirarchy" or something to that effect. But alas, firefox can make "tabs" which makes it able to view more than one page at once. I just set my MIE to a blank home page and can open up multiple copies (windows) to search for different things. Same exact principle. Just takes a half second longer. And that is the only plus. A half second plus. Firefox cannot backtrack well, as was mentioned earlier. Also, if you are downloading anything, it does not have a SAVE option. In other words, if it needs to be saved to your hard-disk, then you are shit outta luck. So good 'ol free MIE. And if anyone even MENTIONS AOL, I will personally rip off their ligaments.

FF can't save anything to a specific location? Bullshit, I do it every time I download something. I rarely open straight from temp.
As a designer, I often have like 12 windows open at once, and its a relief to be able to tab within firefox instead of have to click on the taskbar and go through the annoying popup of windows to find the one I want.
As for backtracking- theres a little miracle called the "little arrow next to the big arrow that brings down a list so you can specify where to go back to". Works every time.

dude... you just don't know how to use firefox. you can save things just fine. and ff is actually better at backing than ie. it will back even inside an embedded object. it's serverspy who can't program a webpage. Tabbing is frickin awesome, sure you can have multiple windows open, but why would you want to clutter your start bar up like that? also -- have you heard of extensions? you can get rss feeds, mouse gestures (big plus), weather extensions, even ad blocking within a page. you cannot do ANY of that with ie.

i personally hate tabs.. but i use firefox nonetheless. havent had any problems backing up or anything.. only problem ive been having is adblock blocking things it shouldnt like flash and activex objects.. and im not sure how to fix that, if someone could tell me that would be great. (like pressing shift while clicking the link which doesnt work btw) if you need any other reasons.. ie actually copied many things that firefox pioneered so not only is it inferior, its also a thief.

IE is for people who don't know how to work on a computer.
Firefox, you have to learn to use it and it will be 10X better then IE. I have mine setup so it doesn't even show ads on Yahoo anymore. And that is not with any add-on program. The tabs come in handy when you have more then one program open on your computer.

IE is for people who run strange programs that do not run under firefox. These are some of the problems with firefox. It is NOT compatible with everthing that I run. AND I need to run these programs on the internet.
Bait
Dont ask what programs these are as you do not have a need to know.

HA! i got Bait to side with me. Um lets see... firefox- came AFTER MIE... so... how the hell did they copy it? so... there.
and lets talk EASE OF USE. I can run MIE even though im essentially not computer savvy. Or technologically retarded. Whatever. Anywho, MIE is faster. I could care less that firefox can tab things. If you really care that much how you can use something called a mouse gesture... you are beyond hopeless, otaku-san.

Rampage's end of the rope is the one that was burnt and then frayed and then brunt again, then shot with an ak.
And then burnt again.

uh... fire? next time you have a thought, you should write it on a piece of paper. Then burn it. Then buy a machine that can burn things that have already been burned and set it on high. Then light the machine on fire.
