I used to love freecell when I had a deskjob.
As for counterstrike, they need to fix the engine. The new radar is distracting (wish there was a way to turn it off), and I'm tired of emptying my clip point blank into someones head, only to find I did 10 damage in 1 hit.
I enjoy the odd game, but starting school next week, I'm not sure how much time i'll have.

Jayne, you bring up a point I wanted to address... Has anyone else felt like it's harder to hit since the update? I played the morning before the update and everything was normal for me, I came home, did the update, and all the sudden I haven't been able to hit accurately since. It's like the physics are off or something. Wasn't sure if it was just me or not though... I mean, the other night I was playing Dust 2, I went 29-4, damn good score for me, but the whole time, I was still having issues with aiming, and a few times I thought I should've been pwnd, I somehow lived and got a random, mostly lucky, kill. The game just feels... off...
Oh, and Jayne, you can turn the radar off, well, make it invisible.. I posted a topic on it I think titled 'Tired of the new radar' or something like that... should be in the steam section?

My comments were directed at a problem thats always been there. Simply running up to a person, firing your whole clip into thier face, and not scoring a single hit. My complaint has less to do with aim than it does with hits simply not registering. Something I've noticed with counterstrike moreso than with other games. I usually just shrug it off, but it becomes annoying after a while. Makes the game feel like it has less to do with skill, and more to do with chance. -Jayne

my physics teacher described it to me (he played cs): "when the game recognises that you fire a round, instead of traveling in a line from your gun to the area it calculated to be hit, it actually has a round fired with the z axis parallel to your view. So, the bullet actually travels straight, and doesn't hit anything that the logical pathway would."
It makes perfect since cause whenever i spray, and the bullet hits the wall directly behind my target, i can see that if the bullet did not travel from the end of my gun to the bullet hole, then it would not have hit.

havok physics is farked in the game for some reason(its a physics engine for the game, and yes it sucks, yet nature abhores a vacuum). its been extremely OFF even compared to 1.6 or the dreaded much loved (by me) cs:cz-- both of which are easier to play now.
stupid updates.

Maybe everyone else is having a problem. I seem to be doing better.
"yet nature abhores a vacuum" Most of the universe is empty and a vacuum. When the majority of space is filled with a vacuum how can nature abhore it? Majority rules and in this case nature actualy abhores an atmosphere, or other pressure point.

Everything seems normal to me outside of the radar. I'm starting to like the radar as well. My biggest problem with the update is you don't get as low in the crouch it feels like.

you do crouch the same distance as usual, valve simply moved your eyes to your head. Before when you ducked your eyes went to about mid-chest. This is suppose to help people with ducking behind a box and not knowing their head is sticking out because their eyes can't see over.
